Harrison Middleton University Fellowship

Harrison Middleton University Fellowship offered by the Harrison Middleton University for students planning to attend a Great Books event in the US. The value of the scholarship is:

• Travel, registration, and related expenses for attendance at a regional Great Books event.
• The opportunity to participate in Socratic discussions with university faculty.
• Online publication in the HMU Blog and HMU: Dialogues.
• After the Fellowship term, a complimentary library of five Great Books Foundation publications.

Eligibility:

• The applicant must have received a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in any field) since 2016.
• Must have an interest in the humanities
• Must have outstanding reading, writing, and communication abilities.
• Be able to attend a regional Great Books event.
• Applicant must commit to writing two blog entries for the HMU Blog and one book review, based on a Great Books Foundation publication to be determined, for HMU: Dialogues.

Required Documents:

• Completed application form
• A biographical statement of no more than 500 words 
• An expository essay of no more than 1500 words applying your interest to a great idea in the humanities
